		  continue stocking fish in certain lakes in the North Cascades National Park,
		  Ross Lake National Recreation Area, and Lake Chelan National Recreation

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H0B9A8395973046CBAAF874C300005CBD" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Purpose</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The purpose of this Act is to authorize the
			 National Park Service to allow the stocking of fish in certain lakes under
			 certain conditions in the North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake National
			 Recreation Area, and Lake Chelan National Recreation Area.</text>
		</section><section id="HC6A75594CF7743F4AD80F108AD192D83"><enum>2.</enum><header>Stocking of certain
			 lakes in North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake National Recreation Area, and
			 Lake Chelan National Recreation Area</header>
			<subsection id="H319438020DFA43F8B4C2B5B4D3A21778"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of the
			 Interior, acting through the Director of the National Park Service, may
			 authorize the stocking of fish in lakes in the North Cascades National Park,
			 Ross Lake National Recreation Area, and Lake Chelan National Recreation
			 Area.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H3003E3717D4947B487672B1F949F42A0"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conditions</header><text>The
			 following conditions shall apply to stocking of lakes under subsection
			 (a):</text>
				<paragraph id="HAD3FDEC0E2DB48B180BCE46240DC94E0"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary is authorized to allow
			 stocking in up to, but not to exceed, 42 lakes. The 42 lakes which may be
			 stocked are those lakes identified for potential stocking under Alternative B
			 of the 2005 North Cascades National Park Service Complex Mountain Lakes Fishery
			 Management Plan Draft.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H539A6CF14100402CB367B9C35FFA4D64"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The Secretary shall only
			 stock fish that are—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H2319FD726DDC43B5B000AA73C2692C7"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">native to the slope of the Cascade Range on
			 which the lake to be stocked is located; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H4261EE471239446EABCFF5407E13E0F7"><enum>(B)</enum><text>functionally
			 sterile.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H3CC517AA50A84CA19C9756B8F0702EA8"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary is authorized to coordinate
			 the stocking of fish with the State of Washington.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HDF0980B715134433998C44849942844E"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Reports</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall continue a program of
			 research and monitoring of the impacts of fish stocking on park resources and
			 shall report the results of such research and monitoring to the appropriate
			 committees of Congress every 5 years.</text>
			</subsection></section></legis-body><official-title-amendment>Amend the title so as to read:
	 <quote>A bill to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to allow stocking fish
	 in certain lakes in the North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake National
	 Recreation Area, and Lake Chelan National Recreation
	 Area.</quote>.</official-title-amendment>
