		<official-title>To amend the General Notes of the Harmonized Tariff
		  Schedule of the United States with respect to certain products imported from
		  United States insular possessions.</official-title>

		<section id="H9E4FC062BE344742B97F049B59981868" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Insular Areas Trade Enhancement
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H166A626B68914AE3AB4273CAE3286E9B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Tariff treatment
			 for insular possessions</header>
			<subsection id="HC6FF50C05EDB4C3B93482951FF3CEE01"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">General Note
			 3(a)(iv)(A) of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States is
			 amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H1A8FFCAA0FF347839C8160F1EBF54B27"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>goods described in section 213(b) of the Caribbean Basin Economic
			 Recovery Act</quote> and inserting <quote>tuna, prepared or preserved in any
			 manner, in airtight containers</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HFD776E9592DB40098970BD5B6BADD836"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>such possession, and all goods</quote> and inserting <quote>such
			 possession. Articles classified in Chapters 61 and 62 that are a product of an
			 insular possession as provided for in section 334 of the Uruguay Round
			 Agreements Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/19/3592">19 U.S.C. 3592</external-xref>) shall be exempt from duty provided the goods
			 are imported directly from any such possession. In addition, for articles
			 classified in Chapter 61 and 62 considered a product of the Commonwealth of the
			 Northern Mariana Islands the total amount of articles eligible under this note
			 shall be limited to 104 million square meters equivalent per calendar year. All

				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H436E7112A3934E77BE23F2469CDEA9B0"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by
			 this section shall apply to goods entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for
			 consumption, on or after the 15th day after the date of the enactment of this
			 Act.</text>
