<official-title>To require the immediate redeployment of United States Armed Forces from Iraq.</official-title>

<section id="H6119CCC3384B4B2FA912919785101F44" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Iraq Redeployment and Regional Security Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section> 
<section id="HF127148DFDE74D3B965D33666900D669"><enum>2.</enum><header>Immediate redeployment of United States Armed Forces from Iraq</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 30 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the President shall commence the full redeployment of all United States Armed Forces from Iraq. The redeployment required by this section shall be completed within 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></section> 
<section id="H2813079B77D046DDA467E1D800C1D17"><enum>3.</enum><header>Middle Eastern regional diplomacy</header> 
<subsection id="H407A74796CBD49E3B192C8E5D1EAC4F4"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">As soon as practicable after the date of the enactment of this Act, the President shall institute a regional diplomatic plan, in conjunction with the United Nations Security Council, that will attempt to accomplish the following objectives: </text> 
<paragraph id="HA6F42D8C3FAF4F0BA01842E55882003D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Curtail the ongoing civil war in Iraq.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H2621BDA5359E481D0062C2CD07B53607"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Contain the civil war in Iraq to prevent its spread into neighboring countries.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HAA4E3CB3706140019C8F4D1C0140B5A7"><enum>(3)</enum><text>Prevent the establishment of al Qaeda safe havens.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HD2EF2BFCF3DB454CA7899B8DFBD3FDC8"><enum>(4)</enum><text>Prevent regional war.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HEBBCAFC6E9334342A9FE17B57ED2E38F"><enum>(5)</enum><text>Prevent genocide.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H962DF38E11BD4D97A66EC65700C15B13"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 30 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and every 30 days thereafter, the President shall transmit to Congress a report on the status of the regional diplomatic plan required by subsection (a) and the progress being made to accomplish the objectives described in paragraphs (1) through (5) of such subsection.</text> </subsection></section>
