		  1956 and the Foreign Service Act of 1980 to enable the Department of State to
		  respond to a critical shortage of passport processing personnel, and for other

			 <quote><short-title>Department of State Crisis Response
			 Act of 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA812E48C10E34418A49DBEC95598CA4" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Reemployment of civil service
			 annuitants</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 61(a) of
			 the State Department Basic Authorities Act of 1956 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/2733">22 U.S.C. 2733(a)</external-xref>) is
			 amended—</text>
			<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H35905BC15A7249689F46A0FA52AF6E04"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (1), by striking <quote>To
			 facilitate</quote> and all that follows through <quote>, the Secretary</quote>
			 and inserting <quote>The Secretary</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H30FCAAFF4CD74CF2BAAAEEB47C499EE"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (2), by striking
			 <quote>2008</quote> and inserting <quote>2010</quote>.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HE6E486F606BA455697D2FCDC14480801" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>3.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Reemployment of foreign service
			 annuitants</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 824(g) of
			 the Foreign Service Act of 1980 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/22/4064">22 U.S.C. 4064(g)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HAD01652B562E4BE79C98A9CA241B7420"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (1)(B), by striking <quote>the
			 assignment of persons to Iraq and Afghanistan or to posts vacated by members of
			 the Service assigned to Iraq and Afghanistan, if the annuitant is
			 employed</quote> and inserting <quote>the employment of an annuitant</quote>;
			 and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HD94FB255D2174AC0860231A500956C6B"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (2), by striking
			 <quote>2008</quote> and inserting <quote>2010</quote>.</text>
