		<official-title>To require the Federal Communications Commission to
		  report on measures being taken to inform the public of the transition to
		  digital format television broadcasting.</official-title>

		<section id="H88800C21A7414A06887EBDE8311116CC" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Transition Education Accountability
			 Report Act of 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HF561332765E341AAB3626FC9ED6F45BA"><enum>2.</enum><header>Report
			 required</header>
			<subsection id="HB071C328BB41494C875E33CF618032D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Report
			 Required</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Within 60 days after
			 the date of enactment of this Act, the Federal Communications Commission shall
			 submit a report to the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of
			 Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of
			 the Senate describing the measures taken by the Commission, the National
			 Telecommunications and Information Administration, and other agencies of the
			 Federal Government to inform the public of the transition to digital format
			 television broadcasting and the termination of broadcasting in analog format.
			 Such report shall include—</text>
				<paragraph id="H6B6D7D9C16AE4A1AAA16041500D1D418"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the measures taken
			 directly by agencies of the Government to so inform the public;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HDCE30F37C684442D0096ECA15D7BB86E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the efforts
			 undertaken to enlist the voluntary efforts of programming producers,
			 distributors, broadcasters, cable operators, satellite carriers, and others in
			 developing, distributing, and transmitting public service announcements that
			 will so inform the public; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H14A0566B150846D1A893BBE7D7796403"><enum>(3)</enum><text>the identity and
			 affiliations of important contributors to those voluntary efforts.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H2B7F3BF881AB42608748FF6CCFD0770"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Public
			 Dissemination</header><text>The Federal Communications Commission shall provide
			 for the public dissemination of the report required by
			 <internal-xref idref="HB071C328BB41494C875E33CF618032D" legis-path="2.(a)">subsection (a)</internal-xref>, which shall include—</text>
				<paragraph id="H6318F69FC4914A3E005BC7B98F8432C2"><enum>(1)</enum><text>posting of the
			 report on the Internet website of the Commission; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HE6B2404372294CBBB006A0087EF2D8C1"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">transmission of the report to the Digital
			 Television Transition Coalition.</text>
