<section id="HBA644CF133D643D9ACD1B92D6400A85F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Application of deemed part B Medicare enrollment rules to residents of Puerto Rico</header> 
<subsection id="H1373A8812DDC4838B5994E7423414C3D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Section 1837(f)(3) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1395p">42 U.S.C. 1395p(f)(3)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>, exclusive of Puerto Rico</quote>.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H7A4D7B7D9754442D95B90000D8614FE1"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply to individuals whose initial enrollment period under section 1837(d) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1395p">42 U.S.C. 1395p(d)</external-xref>) begins on or after the first day of the first month that begins more than 60 days after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text> </subsection></section>
