		<official-title>To provide wage parity for certain prevailing rate
		  employees in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.</official-title>

		<section id="H7B51B326BEF74422A2A83939E580DB17" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode
			 Island Federal Worker Fairness Act of 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H7F814A556C664132A11EBAE4F468FE16"><enum>2.</enum><header>Wage parity for
			 certain prevailing rate employees in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode
			 Island</header>
			<subsection id="H6B6972C16E7946C390D510BC9F34A665"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes of
			 determining the rate of pay for any prevailing rate employee working in the
			 Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island Wage Area, the wage schedule and rates to be
			 used shall be the same as if such employee were instead working in the Boston,
			 Massachusetts Wage Area.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HB1D7EF61A2CC4619B9B497FFC2CABFBD"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>For
			 purposes of this section—</text>
				<paragraph id="HD2850CA51D564CA3920067DBF51BA4D7"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the term
			 <term>prevailing rate employee</term> has the meaning given such term by
			 <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/5/5342">section 5342</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HEA420555580145C180E4B5491C4FBBF4"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the term
			 <term>wage area</term> refers to a wage area under <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/5/5343">section 5343</external-xref> of title 5,
			 United States Code.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H372B5703E8274DF5A0B706A99B072E98"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Regulations</header><text>The
			 Office of Personnel Management may prescribe any regulations necessary to carry
			 out the purposes of this Act.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="H2DFFC853CEA947ECBCC5EE3509F8801B"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act shall apply with
			 respect to pay periods beginning on or after the date of the enactment of this
			 Act.</text>
