Short title

This Act may be cited as the Save the Lives of Americans in Close Combat Act of 2007.

Authorized use of riot control agents in United States military operations

It is the policy of the United States that riot control agents are not chemical weapons, but rather are legitimate, legal, and non-lethal alternatives to the use of lethal force, and members of the United States Armed Forces may use riot control agents under the general rules of engagement in effect for a contingency operation of the Armed Forces conducted outside of the United States.
