		  the 10-year limit on use of Montgomery GI Bill educational assistance benefits,

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF0A3EC1A29D7466AA2A3BB1F3F044DF" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Montgomery GI Bill for Life Act of
			 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H2E1D04185FD047569B5EFB7D2CC772C4"><enum>2.</enum><header>Repeal of 10-year
			 limit on use of veterans educational assistance benefits</header>
			<subsection id="H6660C6F684C347239E61D2D92173AEA5"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Restatement of
			 certain continuing authorities with repeal</header><text>Section 3031 of title
			 38, United States Code, is amended to read as follows:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HD11974DBC7644551B0CFAE217EF2E5F0" style="USC">
					<section id="HC08EF41F29974A63A1A291DA86E75B5C"><enum>3031.</enum><header>Extension of
				period of entitlement otherwise expiring during term, quarter, or semester or
				after completion of major portion of course</header>
						<subsection id="H98AF6863B0C545E69B519ECA09C6B16B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Courses offered
				on term, quarter, or semester basis</header><text>If an individual eligible for
				educational assistance under this chapter is enrolled in a program of education
				offered on a term, quarter, or semester basis at an educational institution
				regularly operated on a term, quarter or semester system and the period of such
				individual’s entitlement under this chapter would, under section 3013 of this
				title, expire during a term, quarter, or semester of that institution, such
				period shall expire on the last day of that term, quarter, or semester.</text>
						</subsection><subsection id="H82DE754D898C482998C512D13989CFA2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Courses not
				offered on term, quarter, or semester basis</header><text>If an individual
				eligible for educational assistance under this chapter is enrolled in a program
				of education not offered on a term, quarter, or semester basis and the period
				of such individual’s entitlement under this chapter would, under section 3013
				of this title, expire after a major portion of the course is completed, such
				period shall expire on the later of the following dates:</text>
							<paragraph id="H13B8C41160FB45CDA046E16561CB7490"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The date of the
				last day of the course.</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="H3B123CCAC68243B0B979F4B0683C7900"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The date that is
				12 weeks after the date on which the period would otherwise expire under
				section 3013 of this
				title.</text>
							</paragraph></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H63BA2E8C12714E609074917D5FE0D0AE"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming
			 amendments</header><text>Chapter 30 of such title is further amended as
			 follows:</text>
				<paragraph id="HEDE26AFC85A54B1BAFA8F807261708C4"><enum>(1)</enum><text>In section
			 3018C(e)(3)(B)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H090094186CD44F629940EFD0F7178B05"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in clause (i), by
			 striking <quote>(i)</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H611CF454D0744903B1667565C26C2400"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking clause
			 (ii).</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HC35FF4C886224D1EBCEBAB7136E1B754"><enum>(2)</enum><text>In section
			 3020—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H6E7F27C65F96481AA684DBEE04E7602E"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subsection
			 (f)(1), by striking <quote>Subject to the time limitation for use of
			 entitlement under section 3031 of this title, an individual</quote> and
			 inserting <quote>An individual</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0D355846452D4650A1E2C04B139F226D"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subsection
			 (h)(5), by striking <quote>Notwithstanding section 3031 of this title, a
			 child</quote> and inserting <quote>A child</quote>.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H88DD891A9ED7482C971F4116F1D03D"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Clerical
			 amendments</header>
				<paragraph id="H4573484F34074FE09B5ED7B94D4BF125"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Heading
			 amendment</header><text>The heading of subchapter IV of chapter 30 of such
			 title is amended to read as follows:</text>

			 amendments</header><text>The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 30
			 of such title is amended by striking the item relating to subchapter IV and the
			 item relating to section 3031 and inserting the following new items:</text>

			 limit on use of Selected Reserve educational assistance benefits</header>
			<subsection id="H7C393156CF47411296A7554C52F3ED3D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Repeal</header><text>Title
			 10, United States Code, is amended by striking section 16133.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H9A1DB50826BB4E998F2EB0F90041B5A2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical
			 amendment</header><text>The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 1606
			 of such title is amended by striking the item relating to section 16133.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="HC90BEF8EBE8D4E1DBB7433EB22CC04CA"><enum>4.</enum><header>Repeal of time
			 limitation on use by disabled members of educational assistance for reserve
			 component members supporting contingency and other operations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Subsection (b) of <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/16164">section 16164</external-xref> of title 10,
			 United States Code, is amended to read as follows:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H6B5EB2EE2A75429D9B4FC74D44E5FE00" style="OLC">
				<subsection id="H530DE64081D448059DDA2D682160B3B3"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Entitlement of
				disabled members</header><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="H3C176829173E4285ACDBB35E2E716FCB"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The maximum number of
				months of educational assistance under this chapter to which is entitled a
				person who is separated from the Ready Reserve because of a disability which
				was not the result of the person’s own wilful misconduct incurred on or after
				the date on which the person became entitled to educational assistance under
				this chapter shall be governed by section 16162(d) of this title.</text>
					</paragraph><paragraph id="HAF59A9E91E2B46649F93AD80494F4B68" indent="up1"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The provisions of section 3031 of
				title 38 shall apply to the entitlement to educational assistance under this
				chapter of a person covered by paragraph
				(1).</text>
