		<official-title>To amend title 5, United States Code, relating to the use
		  of the leave transfer program by wounded veterans who are Federal

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HB5B092B0D5064676BE43C37DA3FA4500" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Use of leave transfer program
			 by wounded veterans who are Federal employees</header>
			<subsection id="HAF42958A17C94B669158016F12701DEB"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/5/6333">Section 6333(b)</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code, is
			 amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H2D25FFF282AA44DD92019F0039AF0283"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>A leave</quote> and inserting <quote>(1) Except as provided in paragraph
			 (2), a leave</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H995CE6A9BF8D4F2500D64BDEFA29F8F9"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following new paragraph:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H963D4457D9C44B12819F6CFF00EFDC6B" style="USC">
						<paragraph id="H8ECF67BE46284DDD9C38DC9E00346E6D" indent="up1"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The requirement to exhaust annual
				leave and sick leave under paragraph (1) shall not apply in the case of a leave
				recipient who, while a member of the Armed Forces, including a member of the
				National Guard or a Reserve, sustained a combat-related disability (as defined
				in <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/1413a">section 1413a(e)</external-xref> of title 10) and is undergoing medical treatment (as
				defined by the Office of Personnel Management) for that combat-related
				disability. The preceding sentence shall apply to a member described in that
				sentence only so long as the member continues to undergo medical treatment for
				the disability, but in no case for more than five
				years.</text>
