		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H670E2221D84B474F80BAA8613925F584" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Conversion of temporary
			 judgeship to permanent judgeship for the district of Hawaii</header>
			<subsection id="H80030E7586394224969DA28968EFAFBD"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>The existing judgeship for the district of Hawaii
			 authorized by section 203(c) of the Judicial Improvements Act of 1990 (28
			 U.S.C. 133 note; <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/101/650">Public Law 101–650</external-xref>; 104 Stat. 5089) shall, as of the date of
			 enactment of this Act, be authorized under <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/28/133">section 133</external-xref> of title 28, United
			 States Code, and the incumbent in that office shall hold the office under
			 <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/28/133">section 133</external-xref> of title 28, United States Code, as amended by this Act.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HA0B56889A6D745B18F3260C93692E100"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Tables</header><text>In
			 order that the table contained in <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/28/133">section 133(a)</external-xref> of title 28, United States
			 Code, will reflect the change in the total number of permanent district
			 judgeships authorized as a result of subsection (a) of this section, the item
			 relating to Hawaii is amended to read as follows:</text>
