		<official-title>To establish a pilot program in the Department of State
		  for improvement of government-to-government relations with the Miccosukee Tribe
		  of Indians of Florida.</official-title>

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H477F1DDEC6F145D984C4CF55E2C064DD" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Establishment of pilot
			 program</header>
			<subsection id="HF1FAF7E8C2134B1188F8DD6612F4007B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>The Secretary of State, acting on behalf of the Federal
			 Government, shall establish in the Department of State a pilot program with the
			 Miccosukee Indian tribe for the purpose of exploring the development of more
			 appropriate and effective arrangements for managing relations between the
			 Federal Government and Indian tribes.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HDDDD7C58774E427CAF0019EA43822DC8"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Transfer of
			 authorities</header><text>Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the
			 authorities and responsibilities vested in any official or agency of the
			 Federal Government with respect to managing relations between the Federal
			 Government and the Miccosukee Indian tribe are hereby vested in the Secretary
			 of State.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H068917F0EBF64C21858BEC4FCA1BC040"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Consultation and
			 cooperation</header><text>The Secretary of State may consult with any official
			 of the Federal Government, and such official shall cooperate with the
			 Secretary, with respect to any aspect of the management of relations between
			 the Federal Government and Indian tribes.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H53C7A27E2D294572A30028935D2CE4E6"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In
			 this section:</text>
				<paragraph id="HA7BBC2A4FA714B2EAE388B055EF9A500"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Indian</header><text>The
			 term <quote>Indian</quote> has the meaning given such term in section 4(d) of
			 the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C.
			 450b(d)).</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H824F29922F23475FBC3DC9FC0035700"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Indian
			 tribe</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <quote>Indian
			 tribe</quote> has the meaning given such term in section 4(e) of the Indian
			 Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/450b">25 U.S.C. 450b(e)</external-xref>).</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HFDF5DF7801FE4D10A591A812CCB240D7"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Miccosukee
			 Indian tribe</header><text>The term <quote>Miccosukee Indian tribe</quote>
			 means the Miccosukee tribe of Indians in Florida.</text>
