		<official-title>To require the Secretary of Defense to enter into an
		  agreement with the Center for the Study of the Presidency to study reforms of
		  the national security interagency system.</official-title>

		<section id="H557AB723D36A4285A24600AC3167A81" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Interagency Reform Study Act of
			 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HF82CA5B3DB8140269EE455EB4C4F82C"><enum>2.</enum><header>Study of national
			 security interagency system</header>
			<subsection id="HBAE951DE5D7546FB8267F65C8245306D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Study
			 required</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 30
			 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense
			 shall enter into an agreement with the Center for the Study of the Presidency
			 (in this section referred to as the <quote>Center</quote>) to conduct a study
			 on the national security interagency system.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H8169C852428E4461BE320096579547E5"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><text>The
			 agreement entered into under subsection (a) shall require the Center to submit
			 to Congress and the President a report containing the results of the study
			 conducted pursuant to such agreement and any recommendations for changes to the
			 national security interagency system (including legislative or regulatory
			 changes).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HF2929E858B5946F985C18180F9C0D0A0"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Submission
			 date</header><text>The agreement entered into under subsection (a) shall
			 require the Center to submit the report required under subsection (b) not later
			 than 180 days after the date on which the Secretary makes funds appropriated
			 pursuant to subsection (e) available to the Center.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H97141277C7C04E24BCA8AF728952856F"><enum>(d)</enum><header>National
			 security interagency system defined</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section, the term <quote>national
			 security interagency system</quote> means the structures, mechanisms, and
			 processes by which the departments, agencies, and elements of the Federal
			 Government that have national security missions integrate their policies,
			 capabilities, expertise, and activities to accomplish such missions.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H439E8A07CD2E4C148F119C38CF3DB7FC"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Authorization of
			 appropriations</header><text>There is authorized to be appropriated $7,000,000
			 for fiscal year 2008 to carry out this section.</text>
