<official-title>To direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to convey the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Marlin, Texas, to the State of Texas.</official-title>

<section id="HB11DE8383B884086A9DDFBF515EC784" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Conveyance of Thomas T. Connally Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Marlin, Texas, to the State of Texas</header> 
<subsection id="H0739FC842CC8416A8D00F2B6AE82B4E2"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Conveyance authorized</header><text>Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall convey without consideration all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to a parcel of real property, including improvements thereon, comprising the location of the Thomas T. Conally Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center at 1016 Ward Street in the city of Marlin, Texas, to the State of Texas.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H494A7A1A5F7D4690AE6F8DEFB728A53D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Survey to obtain legal description</header><text>The exact acreage and the legal description of the real property described in subsection (a) shall be determined by a survey that is satisfactory to the Secretary.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HB357A42D6C69473A9E63FF4809E44E33"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Costs</header><text>The costs associated with the conveyance under subsection (a) and the survey under subsection (b) shall be provided from Federal funds.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HBFEF14AF676343AE96B978D809ABB368"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Applicability of environmental and historical preservation laws; environmental cleanup</header><text>In carrying out the conveyance under subsection (a), the Secretary—</text> 
<paragraph id="H74724F806E62432896D158ED596BB17E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>shall not be required to comply with, and shall not be held liable under, any Federal law or regulation relating to the environment or historic preservation; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H7F16B7768E0F445C8FABAF08B7001108"><enum>(2)</enum><text>may, at the discretion of the Secretary, conduct environmental cleanup on the parcel to be conveyed, at a cost not to exceed $500,000, using amounts made available for environmental cleanup of sites under the jurisdiction of the Secretary.</text> </paragraph></subsection></section>
