		  to obtain health coverage under <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/5/89">chapter 89</external-xref> of title 5, United States

		<section id="HC7F1876BB913456E8F9757BBBDB3F74" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Eligibility for
			 coverage</header>
			<subsection id="H4C11DC6D219F4A4DB6B274D5BEBCB400"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 General</header><text>Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an employee
			 of a qualified health center may enroll in an approved health benefits plan
			 under <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/5/89">chapter 89</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code—</text>
				<paragraph id="H6674B5C501AE4F0EB9B74D58A2978C8D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>either as an
			 individual or for self and family; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HC8F3F376B8F6469993FA200716B438E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>subject to
			 exclusions similar to those referred to in section 8901(1)(iv) of such
			 title.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HD093455A43264E8900C5007426112C9D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Qualified Health
			 Center Defined</header><text>For purposes of this section, the term
			 <quote>qualified health center</quote> means any entity that—</text>
				<paragraph id="HA211278CA94F43E3AEE861C871F9F281"><enum>(1)</enum><text>meets the
			 definition of a Federally-qualified health center, as set forth in section
			 1905(l)(2)(B) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1396d">42 U.S.C. 1396d(l)(2)(B)</external-xref>); and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HD3D84A50054B4885BB5E87007DBF1AB"><enum>(2)</enum><text>enters into an
			 appropriate agreement with the Office of Personnel Management under this
			 section.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H7669D32F822746428877C889FC2304"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Transfers to the
			 Employees Health Benefits Fund</header><text>A qualified health center shall
			 transfer to the Employees Health Benefits Fund established under section 8909
			 of title 5, United States Code, amounts determined by the Director of the
			 Office of Personnel Management (after consultation with such center) to be
			 equal to—</text>
				<paragraph id="H24639476563447C787CA2BBC4FF3AD96"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the Government
			 contributions which would be payable by such center under section 8906 of such
			 title if such center were an employing agency (as referred to in such section);
			 and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HFC6E3487B6F142BCA203781D32B23046"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the individual
			 contributions—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H61F320DF0B61422597E2A983354EC009"><enum>(A)</enum><text>which would be
			 payable under such section 8906—</text>
						<clause id="HC3B1EF36A4844867BF00A7005EE2CE8E"><enum>(i)</enum><text>by
			 each employee in or under such center who is enrolled in an approved health
			 benefits plan (as referred to in subsection (a)); and</text>
						</clause><clause id="H5D3EFB7598A741F5A0D900FAABD86868"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>by
			 reason of the enrollment (as referred to in clause (i)); and</text>
						</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="HBDC3E37898A6485B00B002D89E58E4A5"><enum>(B)</enum><text>which shall be
			 deducted and withheld ratably from the pay of each such employee.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H08C255EE4AA3432788003C00EC7FD96C"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Regulations</header><text>The
			 Office of Personnel Management may prescribe regulations to carry out this
			 section.</text>
