<section id="HB456A30A43184F469FF1D6002BC917C2" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Exemption from filing fees for schools</header> 
<subsection id="HCB7F55A8CF494B60AA72FC54E6524600"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Section 214(c)(9)(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/8/1184">8 U.S.C. 1184(c)(9)(A)</external-xref>) is amended by inserting <quote>an employer that is a public or private elementary or secondary school and</quote> after <quote>(excluding</quote>.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H80EE064201AD4108AEEAA8A103375735"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Applicability</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act and shall apply to petitions filed under section 214(c)(1) of the Immigration and Nationality Act on or after such date and before October 1, 2001.</text></subsection></section>
