<section id="H5FFAE1E629FB4F3CB6BB5C7D380000E5" section-type="section-one" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Disabled Veterans Commissary and Exchange Store Benefits Act</short-title></quote>. </text></section> 
<section section-type="subsequent-section" id="H57BCD07B40EC4E8EAEA6DAA692F710E0" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>2.</enum><header>Commissary and exchange store privileges for disabled veterans and their dependents</header> 
<subsection id="H4499AC114D8B48DAA5EF002F537C322B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Extension of privileges</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/10/54">Chapter 54</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new section:</text>

<section id="H69C894E2F0A9477FA16FBD3C20B534E8"><enum>1065.</enum><header>Use of commissary and exchange stores: disabled veterans and their dependents</header> 
<subsection id="H78F99F440D0C4D18AA3513B9B5D90984"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Disabled veterans</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A veteran with a compensable service-connected disability shall be permitted to use commissary and exchange stores on the same basis as a member of the armed forces entitled to retired or retainer pay.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H3710E9CBF4904EBDB8001C95439BD9FF"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Dependents</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A dependent of a veteran described in subsection (a) shall be permitted to use commissary and exchange stores on the same basis as a dependent of a member of the armed forces entitled to retired or retainer pay.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H9DC3E5F0312942CC84FB2FCCB26B62C8"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In this section, the terms <term>veteran</term> and <term>service-connected</term> have the meanings given those terms in <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/101">section 101</external-xref> of title 38.</text></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> 
<subsection id="H4E83A2C13B3C4904ACDEBF29C4FACA9"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text>The table of sections at the beginning of such chapter is amended by adding at the end the following new item:</text>

<subsection id="H8278E72A266146BE87A155D57E63167D"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/1065">Section 1065</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, as added by subsection (a), shall take effect at the end of the 90-day period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section>
