		<official-title>To amend title XXI of the Social Security Act to permit
		  qualifying States to use a portion of their allotments under the State
		  children’s health insurance program for any fiscal year for certain Medicaid
		  expenditures.</official-title>

		<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HB1E1D467F3F34A808749D78D4BEC2812" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Children’s Health Equity Technical
			 Amendments Act of 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HAABA5C9F5AB5423E8F1D9366831B753C" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Authority for
			 qualifying States to use portion of schip allotment for any fiscal year for
			 certain medicaid expenditures</header>
			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H5750AFF2192F4D5FA0E400569CBB31B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2105(g)(1)(A)
			 of the <act-name parsable-cite="SSA">Social Security Act</act-name> (42 U.S.C.
			 1397ee(g)(1)(A)), as amended by section 201(b) of the National Institutes of
			 Health Reform Act of 2006 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/109/482">Public Law 109–482</external-xref>) is amended by striking
			 <quote>fiscal year 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2006, or 2007</quote>
			 and inserting <quote>a fiscal year</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA695B2AB31A74747BBAF28CF1F9BEA13"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Modification of
			 allowable expenditures</header><text>Section 2105(g)(1)(B)(ii) of such Act (42
			 U.S.C. 1397ee(g)(1)(B)(ii)) is amended by striking <quote>150</quote> and
			 inserting <quote>125</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HE0AA5E2574CF4A81822D68EBC1675375"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by
			 this section shall take effect on October 1, 2007, and shall apply to
			 expenditures made on or after that date.</text>
