		<section id="HA3780E1A1FFB4C0EBB20FF69853D6B81" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Prohibition on closure of
			 Walter Reed Army Medical Center</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Notwithstanding section 2904(a)(5) of the
			 Defense Base Closure and Realignment Act of 1990 (part A of title XXIX of
			 <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/101/510">Public Law 101–510</external-xref>; <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/2687">10 U.S.C. 2687</external-xref> note) and the recommendations of the Defense
			 Base Closure and Realignment Commission contained in the report transmitted to
			 Congress on September 15, 2005, under section 2903(e) of such Act, the
			 Secretary of Defense shall not close Walter Reed Army Medical Center.</text>
