<official-title display="yes">To amend the National Trails System Act to designate the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail.</official-title>

<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H2E70205F2EB546AF94392F9C8F972CB5" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail Designation Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section>
<section id="H38607EB3E0484904A8668190B0C0CE3"><enum>2.</enum><header>Addition to national scenic and national historic trails</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 5(a) of the National Trails System Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/1244">16 U.S.C. 1244(a)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> 
<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H4687A4A02F8E467EB49D5E93649F6841" style="OLC">
<paragraph id="H83C32EFB22D9446AAC700033C8035800" indent="up1"><enum>(__)</enum><header>Washington-Rochambeau revolutionary route national historic trail</header> 
<subparagraph id="HB11FD2898DE4483DB7928DA4AA7F2EBE"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail, a corridor of approximately 600 miles following the route taken by the armies of General George Washington and Count Rochambeau between Newport, Rhode Island, and Yorktown, Virginia, in 1781 and 1782, as generally depicted on the map titled <quote>Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail</quote>, numbered T01/80,001, and dated June, 2007.</text> </subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="H3C5AAB7195ED4B1B982059759538D9B5"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Map</header><text>The map referred to in subparagraph (A) shall be on file and available for public inspection in the appropriate offices of the National Park Service.</text> </subparagraph>
<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HA3E679F62460425A8029ED6DEA920022"><enum>(C)</enum><header>Administration</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The trail shall be administered by the Secretary of the Interior, in consultation with—</text> 
<clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1BD53A17432042B18F1FBA69D7BEA0E8"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">other Federal, State, tribal, regional, and local agencies; and</text> </clause>
<clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H8078CA39C01443649963FC00AC78C1D8"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the private sector.</text> </clause></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="H032C2A5E95134BDB90EE9C9482005C5E" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>(D)</enum><header>Land acquisition</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The United States shall not acquire for the trail any land or interest in land—</text> 
<clause id="H618C7F804D794A948C7C5F64DADD1133"><enum>(i)</enum><text>outside the exterior boundary of any federally managed area without the consent of the owner of the land or interest in land; and</text></clause> 
<clause id="H398596E82C6E4B0592BB1DF138C02E02"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">acquired from a State or local government if that land was acquired by such government through eminent domain.</text></clause></subparagraph></paragraph> <after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </section>
<section id="HAA6164299E594D21854F0707B1B546BD"><enum>3.</enum><header>Energy</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Nothing in the amendment made by section 2 of this Act shall prohibit or hinder the development, production, conveyance, or transmission of energy.</text> </section>
<section id="HF810DB2E929D45AFBC2000C5333E9910"><enum>4.</enum><header>Hunting, fishing, trapping, and recreational shooting</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Nothing in this Act shall be construed as affecting the authority, jurisdiction, or responsibility of the several States to manage, control, or regulate fish and resident wildlife under State law or regulations, including the regulation of hunting, fishing, trapping, and recreational shooting. Nothing in this Act shall be construed as limiting access for hunting, fishing, trapping, or recreational shooting.</text></section>
<section id="H4A9764D0E7F24ECCADC953DEB37ED81"><enum>5.</enum><header>Energy and Congressional Review</header> <text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Secretary of Interior, in consultation with the Secretary of Energy and private industry, shall complete and submit to the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives, the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate, and Senators and Representatives from the States affected by the designation, a report using the best available data and regarding the energy resources available on the lands and waters included in the Washington-Rochambeau Revolutionary Route National Historic Trail. The report shall—</text> 
<paragraph id="H9833C140DBA5406BB4E2609B7975C2E7"><enum>(1)</enum><text>contain the best available description of the energy resources available on the land and report on the specific amount of energy withdrawn from possible development; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H7BC3A63D6E6F4A5BAF56E69BC406B35E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>identify barrels of oil, cubic feet of natural gas, megawatts of geothermal, wind and solar energy that could be commercially produced, annual available biomass for energy production, and any megawatts of hydropower resources available, including tidal, traditional dams, and in- stream flow turbines, and any impact on electricity transmission.</text></paragraph></section>
