		<official-title>To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide
		  individuals relief from the alternative minimum tax.</official-title>

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H7AE40267474F4AB6A76CA01BE528891C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Stealth Tax Relief Extension Act of
			 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HC306F2440B0345E78423626FF1EBEC53"><enum>2.</enum><header>Increase in
			 alternative minimum tax exemption amount for 2007</header>
			<subsection id="HB732325E6A0B4B49B0A63C22CD1C004C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/55">Section 55(d)(1)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986
			 (relating to exemption amount for taxpayers other than corporations) is
			 amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H2F342C48EF374A23A47185426BDCBD53"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>$62,550 in the case of taxable years beginning in 2006</quote> in
			 subparagraph (A) and inserting <quote>$66,400 in the case of taxable years
			 beginning in 2007</quote>, and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H40FC195523BD426AB98E87506EE37411"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>$42,500 in the case of taxable years beginning in 2006</quote> in
			 subparagraph (B) and inserting <quote>$45,100 in the case of taxable years
			 beginning in 2007</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HC1BD11C52B0C41669C293C44595352C0"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply to taxable
			 years beginning after December 31, 2006.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="H948E411CD1AA4ACBA19DED00324001E9"><enum>3.</enum><header>Allowance of
			 nonrefundable personal credits against regular and alternative minimum tax
			 liability</header>
			<subsection id="H3388BF47BFDE4EAD80AE465274B507F4"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>Paragraph (2) of section 26(a) of the Internal Revenue
			 Code of 1986 is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H17879FE2FBD0419E90ACF4AE504C4997"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote><header-in-text level="paragraph" style="OLC"><enum-in-header>2006</enum-in-header></header-in-text></quote> in
			 the heading thereof and inserting <quote><header-in-text level="paragraph" style="OLC"><enum-in-header>2007</enum-in-header></header-in-text></quote>,
			 and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H82CE547738F24C45AC6057F57BAFF327"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>or 2006</quote> and inserting <quote>2006, or 2007</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H654A86D00A1149ABBE7F83DC39A8F443"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply to taxable
			 years beginning after December 31, 2006.</text>
