		<official-title>To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to exclude
		  combat zone compensation of members of the Armed Forces from employment
		  taxes.</official-title>

		<section id="HD3078FD5C3604F1095EFF5753E6DB5A2" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Armed Forces Tax Relief Act of
			 2007</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HF28F44DEBE5A4331895EBF622599705F" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Exclusion of combat
			 zone compensation of members of the Armed Forces from employment taxes</header>
			<subsection id="H2B1E55FE7A804F7C9033BB5E91A9E2A4"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Paragraph (2) of
			 <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/3121">section 3121(i)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (relating to service in
			 the uniformed services) is amended by adding at the end the following new
			 sentence: <quote>The term <term>wages</term> shall not include remuneration for
			 active service performed in a month for which such individual is entitled to
			 the benefits of section 112 (relating to certain combat zone compensation of
			 members of the Armed Forces of the United States) to the extent remuneration
			 for such service is excludable from gross income under such
			 section.</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H4BD4D44C3B1A41B98CCDFC5AB8D4644"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Social Security
			 trust funds held harmless</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">There is hereby appropriated (out of any
			 money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated) for each fiscal year to each
			 fund under the Social Security Act an amount equal to the reduction in the
			 transfers to such fund for such fiscal year by reason of the amendment made by
			 subsection (a).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HAC2990E47A5E467B9BCDE5CBCDC32606"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendment made by this section shall apply with respect
			 to service performed after December 31, 2006.</text>
