<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H8E65D0976961452DB76B7712F63CCB44" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Use of Rotunda For Gold Medal Ceremony for Dalai Lama</header> 
<subsection id="H0D0ED7BA32B04078B8F2E0FE87B99FB"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Use of Rotunda</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Rotunda of the Capitol is authorized to be used on October 17, 2007, for a ceremony to award the Congressional Gold Medal to Tenzin Gyatso, the Fourteenth Dalai Lama, in accordance with <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/109/287">Public Law 109–287</external-xref>.</text> </subsection> <subsection id="H659C0BA0D6314747B358CF00FC832000"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Preparations</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Physical preparations for the ceremony referred to in subsection (a) shall be carried out in accordance with such conditions as the Architect of the Capitol may prescribe.</text> </subsection></section> 
<section id="HD0AED0ADC47B4C0CA03BB08208A722F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Use of Capitol Grounds in Connection With Ceremony</header> 
<subsection id="HEDB24E64DACE4B89B52CB0AE558EE98D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In General</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The International Campaign for Tibet (in this resolution referred to as the <quote>sponsor</quote>) shall be permitted to sponsor a public event on the Capitol Grounds (in this resolution referred to as the <quote>event</quote>) on October 17, 2007, in connection with the ceremony to be held in the Rotunda of the Capitol under section 1.</text> </subsection> <subsection id="H65C59C33BC004E6AB11BB4ACF215715D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Terms and Conditions</header> <paragraph id="HC8C14C37264A47CBA1CA056FBDB25B42"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Under conditions to be prescribed by the Architect of the Capitol and the Capitol Police Board, the event shall be—</text> 
<subparagraph id="HF2F6180B6A2D4E1AA216D064C7334E7D"><enum>(A)</enum><text>free of admission charge and open to the public; and</text> </subparagraph> <subparagraph id="H7EC65773310E4563B51863C96164DE9B"><enum>(B)</enum><text>arranged not to interfere with the needs of Congress.</text> </subparagraph></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H36F8CDC4F2904A20AC1B058D9CFED11"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Expenses and liabilities</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The sponsor shall assume full responsibility for all expenses and liabilities incident to all activities associated with the event.</text> </paragraph></subsection> <subsection id="HDCAC33F6DA5B42D48F00B3CAB37C00F2"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Event Preparations</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subject to the approval of the Architect of the Capitol, the sponsor is authorized to erect upon the Capitol Grounds such stage, sound amplification devices, and other related structures and equipment, as may be required for the event.</text> </subsection> 
<subsection id="H8CD0BE49F47E47B2A4E1B0AEFA198068"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Enforcement of Restrictions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Capitol Police Board shall provide for enforcement of the restrictions contained in section 5104(c) of title 40, United States Code, concerning sales, advertisements, displays, and solicitations on the Capitol Grounds, as well as other restrictions applicable to the Capitol Grounds, in connection with the event.</text> </subsection></section> </resolution-body> <attestation> <attestation-group> <role>Clerk of the House of Representatives.</role> </attestation-group> <attestation-group> <role>Secretary of the Senate.</role> </attestation-group> </attestation> </resolution>
