		<official-title display="yes">Expressing the sense of the Senate on the
		  discussion by the North Atlantic Council of secure, sustainable, and reliable
		  sources of energy.</official-title>

	<resolution-body>
		<section display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="S1" section-type="undesignated-section"><enum></enum><text>That it is the sense of the Senate
			 that—</text>
			<paragraph id="idFFB2A2996C2D4BA5A3108B3AE5722E34"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the President
			 should place on the agenda for discussion at the North Atlantic Council, as
			 soon as practicable, the merits of establishing a policy and strategy for the
			 North Atlantic Treaty Organization to promote the security of members of the
			 Organization through the development of secure, sustainable, and reliable
			 sources of energy; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="idABF6432145844E758D637DDDB9F0A3FC"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the President
			 should submit to Congress a report that sets forth—</text>
				<subparagraph id="idF1F752E320BB4A1BA9A27942F5511252"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the actions the
			 United States has taken to place the matter referred to in paragraph (1) on the
			 agenda for discussion at the North Atlantic Council;</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id78B191634A6E4F11A580F19E20FA2B63"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the position of
			 the United States on the matter, as communicated to the North Atlantic Council
			 by the representatives of the United States to the Council;</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idF30484380B5B4F25921C56D99B1D349A"><enum>(C)</enum><text>a summary of the
			 debate on the matter at the North Atlantic Council, including any decision that
			 has been reached with respect to the matter by the Council; and</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idFCF1DB50C2BD434883DF1A4956E62163"><enum>(D)</enum><text>a strategy for
			 the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to develop secure, sustainable, and
			 reliable sources of energy, including contingency plans if current energy
			 resources are put at risk.</text>
