				<header>Additional projects</header>

				<text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 4(a) of the Lower Rio

			 Grande Valley Water Resources Conservation and Improvement Act of 2000 (Public

			 Law 106–576; 114 Stat. 3067) is amended by adding at the end the

			 following:</text>

				each project that the Secretary conducts or participates in under subsection

				(a) may include any of the following:</text>

								<enum>(1)</enum>

								<text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The replacement of

				irrigation canals and lateral canals with buried pipelines.</text>

							</paragraph><paragraph changed="added" commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H2709558344D842388FC66108B41020F6">

								<enum>(2)</enum>

								<text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The impervious lining of

				irrigation canals and lateral canals.</text>

							</paragraph><paragraph changed="added" commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF9474B2C16C849F798392943EBB5F6E">

								<enum>(3)</enum>

								<text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Installation of water

				level, flow measurement, pump control, and telemetry systems.</text>

							</paragraph><paragraph changed="added" commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H57E195F489C34580B784F982F31674C">

								<enum>(4)</enum>

								<text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The renovation and

				replacement of pumping plants.</text>

							</paragraph><paragraph changed="added" commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HE90EC7F271E942F695C04F3132482FC2">

								<enum>(5)</enum>

								<text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Other activities that will

				result in the conservation of water or an improved supply of water.</text>

							</paragraph></subsection><subsection changed="added" commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H5483EF82C8A5447296FE186C93AD96F6">

							<enum>(d)</enum>

							<header>Transfers among projects</header>

							<text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Of amounts made available

				for a project referred to in any of paragraphs (20) through (38) of subsection

				(a), the Secretary may transfer and use for another such project up to 10

				percent.</text>

			<header>Reauthorization of appropriations for lower rio grande

			 construction</header>

			<text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 4(e) of the Lower Rio

			 Grande Valley Water Resources Conservation and Improvement Act of 2000 (Public

			 Law 106–576; 114 Stat. 3067) (as redesignated by section 2(b)) is amended by

			 inserting before the period the following: <quote>for projects referred to in

			 paragraphs (1) through (19) of subsection (a), and $42,356,145 (2004 dollars)

			 for projects referred to in paragraphs (20) through (38) of subsection

			 (a)</quote>.</text>
