		  for continued payment of railroad retirement annuities by the Department of the

		<section id="H5FADABA0F83540089218B9733948FB41" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Railroad Retirement Technical
			 Improvement Act of 2006</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H80AE5F35B9824AA9B640B2FE79AB5572"><enum>2.</enum><header>Disbursement
			 agent</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 7(b)(4)(A) of
			 the Railroad Retirement Act of 1974 (45 U.S.C. 231f(b)(4)(A)) is amended to
			 read as follows:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H6BB6F4C79AEA4B6BA77F3969A3D43387" style="OLC">
				<subparagraph id="H87B5A04CEE7046E8BEA2B837CF60B260" indent="up1"><enum>(A)</enum><text>The Secretary of the Treasury shall
				serve as the disbursing agent for benefits payable under this Act, under such
				rules and regulations as the Secretary, in the Secretary’s discretion, may
				prescribe.</text>
