		<official-title>To amend the Energy Employees Occupational Illness

		  Compensation Program Act of 2000 to clarify the eligibility of certain

		  employees of the Department of Energy under that Act.</official-title>

			 special exposure cohort</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3621(14) of the Energy Employees

			 Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act of 2000 (42 U.S.C.

			 7384<added-phrase reported-display-style="italic">l</added-phrase>(14)) is

			 amended by adding at the end the following:</text>

			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idFA5190D6D02942CF95F272FEE4309BC1" style="OLC">

				<subparagraph id="idC214A9DF63254CD0A09926D35FA60601"><enum>(D)</enum><text>The

				employee—</text>

					<clause id="idC87F568001464D2DB00DCF4CDEA1DC66"><enum>(i)</enum><text>was so employed

				by the Department of Energy, or a contractor or subcontractor of that

				Department, before 1986 on—</text>

						<subclause id="id0EE92EECC4EC41F692646BE14843B2EF"><enum>(I)</enum><text>Enewetak

				Atoll;</text>

						</subclause><subclause id="id97CC19558DBA4EFEAB9E5706E75CD04E"><enum>(II)</enum><text>Bikini

				Atoll;</text>

						</subclause><subclause id="id6EEEB86C04F3452484FAA0A192DD4A7A"><enum>(III)</enum><text>Rongelap Atoll;

				or</text>

						</subclause><subclause id="idA47805A0CE6C4CDDA5812CBAC20EC1D3"><enum>(IV)</enum><text>Utrik

				Atoll;</text>

						</subclause></clause><clause id="idFCE668D28474495D9D689E397C06BB04"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>was exposed to

				ionizing radiation in the performance of a duty of the employee; and</text>

					</clause><clause id="id6F3EF5D3B9A7485EACB8E1C4002D349E"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>during the time

				the employee was so employed, was a citizen of the Trust Territory of the

				Pacific

				Islands.</text>
