		<section id="IDDA40ADC61DEA4F3B996056486F6CDBEF" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the

			 <quote><short-title>Uintah Research and Curatorial Center

			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>

		</section><section id="ID6DF95EB7F8954FEC8477561DC724B574"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>

			<paragraph id="ID7EFE022757974EF5BBD815E4A7FA23D0"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Center</header><text>The

			 term <term>Center</term> means the Uintah Research and Curatorial

			 Center.</text>

			</paragraph><paragraph id="ID93EDF3CFB208402F979EC4ECF1B8BDC1"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Map</header><text>The

			 term <term>map</term> means the map entitled <quote>Proposed Location of the

			 <deleted-phrase committee-id="SSEG00" reported-display-style="strikethrough">Uintah</deleted-phrase>

						<added-phrase committee-id="SSEG00" reported-display-style="italic">Uinta</added-phrase> Research and Curatorial

			 Center</quote>, numbered 122/80,080, and dated May 2004.</text>

			</paragraph><paragraph id="IDCEFFB0077E494CF1AB870324B05F4B90"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Monument</header><text>The

			 term <term>Monument</term> means the Dinosaur National Monument in the States

			 of Colorado and Utah.</text>

			</paragraph><paragraph id="ID7869EB66CB2E40709A2ED5036AE94CB6"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The

			 term <term>Secretary</term> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text>

			</paragraph></section><section id="ID41AA908010294BDDBF49186DD7440FFB"><enum>3.</enum><header>Uintah Research

			 and Curatorial Center</header>

			<subsection id="IDD82EF8B1CE8B49D59F2304DCFF2D8B31"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In

			 general</header><text>To provide for the unified and cost-effective curation of

			 the paleontological, natural, and cultural objects of the Monument and the

			 surrounding area, the Secretary shall establish the Uintah Research and

			 Curatorial Center on land located outside the boundary of the Monument acquired

			 under subsection (b).</text>

			</subsection><subsection id="ID4CB6E2341B4A49BDA1A8873C4D566B6E"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Acquisition of

			 land</header><text>The Secretary may acquire by donation land for the Center

			 consisting of not more than 5 acres located in Uintah County, in the vicinity

			 of Vernal, Utah, as generally depicted on the map.</text>

			</subsection><subsection id="IDB0AE70307A3B443C99AC7C14CEA654B1"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Availability of

			 map</header><text>The map shall be on file and available for public inspection

			 in the appropriate offices of the National Park Service.</text>

			</subsection><subsection id="ID1A5A58B54AB04980B713E49F91C9ABE3"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Use</header><text>The

			 Center shall be used for the curation of, storage of, and research on items

			 in—</text>

				<paragraph id="IDC0EDD70CD07D41118E22EB69F2D3E07E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the museum

			 collection of the Monument; and</text>

				</paragraph><paragraph id="ID1472B7F392934F198ABCA43585C51893"><enum>(2)</enum><text>any collection

			 maintained by an entity described in subsection (e)(2) that enters into a

			 cooperative agreement with the Secretary.</text>

				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="ID54166229B0CD4899A3C5A9981EE09AEE"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Administration</header>

				<paragraph id="IDAF58E934F1DE4A30AD17E3C308A54583"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In

			 general</header><text>The Secretary shall—</text>

					<subparagraph id="ID2C2210239725446188D8AF537AF05319"><enum>(A)</enum><text>administer the

			 land acquired under subsection (b); and</text>

					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID3CB8F57CE26A48A8BDC95C1670C6B210"><enum>(B)</enum><text>promulgate any

			 regulations that the Secretary determines to be appropriate for the use and

			 management of the land.</text>

					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="ID5CA671AF23DE4817A7156E3B5DC55967"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Cooperative

			 agreements</header><text>The Secretary may enter into a cooperative agreement

			 with a Federal, State, and local agency, academic institution, Indian tribe, or

			 nonprofit entity to provide for—</text>

					<subparagraph id="ID1A93B9739E974D1D8D95922C176447AA"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the curation of

			 and research on the museum collection at the Center; and</text>

					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID208C492FB23941CC810725DDCB0BF2E8"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the development,

			 use, management, and operation of the Center.</text>

					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="ID84DEA166DC814F54BE6A594F906B6D58"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Limitation</header><text>The

			 land acquired by the Secretary under subsection (b) shall not—</text>

					<subparagraph id="ID59A9905297484FE695E15B0E35237376"><enum>(A)</enum><text>be a part of the

			 Monument; or</text>

					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="IDC8454B2BDA084F46A3A2FD8F466418E3"><enum>(B)</enum><text>be subject to the

			 laws (including regulations) applicable to the Monument.</text>

					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection></section><section id="ID051B822038B04A4493A88E92C0538B33"><enum>4.</enum><header>Authorization of

			 appropriations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">There is

			 authorized to be appropriated to carry out this Act $8,800,000.</text>
