		  funds appropriated for remediation of any injury or damage caused by Hurricane

			 <quote><short-title>Katrina Waste, Fraud, and Abuse

			 Deterrence Act of 2005</short-title></quote>.</text>

		</section><section id="id877009D50C274D658DA8F88E903E518C" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Enhanced

			 penalties</header>

			<subsection id="id38D75680AA2E455597FEDCDBE3600F51"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In

			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Chapter 1 of title

			 18, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>

				<quoted-block act-name="" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id09D5FEA5C5774E89AD33070A3F85DD17" style="USC">

					<section id="id3D31DF06C21F40D8A5DE9809E7E87BDE"><enum>26.</enum><header>Enhanced

				penalties</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Whoever commits any

				violation of this title and such violation involves funds appropriated for

				remediation of any injury or damage caused by Hurricane Katrina shall be fined

				under this title, imprisoned not less than 5 years and not more than 20 years,

				or both, in addition to any other penalty

				authorized.</text>
