		<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDCAAD3308C1434C23BDB74DDF56E767BD" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Permanent resident status for

			 Hyang Dong Joo</header>

			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID9D386A96FD114C33ABA49E754F430DD3"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In

			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding

			 subsections (a) and (b) of section 201 of the <act-name parsable-cite="INA">Immigration and Nationality Act</act-name>, Hyang Dong Joo

			 shall be eligible for issuance of an immigrant visa or for adjustment of status

			 to that of an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence upon filing an

			 application for issuance of an immigrant visa under section 204 of that Act or

			 for adjustment of status to lawful permanent resident.</text>

			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID6BFFBEAF7D754582B8892E0A7139AFBA"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Adjustment of

			 status</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If Hyang Dong Joo

			 enters the United States before the filing deadline specified in subsection

			 (c), Hyang Dong Joo shall be considered to have entered and remained lawfully

			 and shall be eligible for adjustment of status under section 245 of the

			 <act-name parsable-cite="INA">Immigration and Nationality Act</act-name> as of

			 the date of enactment of this Act.</text>

			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID35B0283C6F354EB0903F2859CB09A187"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Deadline for

			 application and payment of fees</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsections (a) and (b) shall apply only if

			 the application for issuance of an immigrant visa or the application for

			 adjustment of status is filed with appropriate fees within 2 years after the

			 date of enactment of this Act.</text>

			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDBD0008257A624BCCBAB49197C399E684"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Reduction of

			 immigrant visa numbers</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Upon

			 the granting of an immigrant visa or permanent residence to Hyang Dong Joo, the

			 Secretary of State shall instruct the proper officer to reduce by 1, during the

			 current or next following fiscal year, the total number of immigrant visas that

			 are made available to natives of the country of birth of Hyang Dong Joo under

			 section 203(a) of the <act-name parsable-cite="INA">Immigration and Nationality

			 Act</act-name> or, if applicable, the total number of immigrant visas that are

			 made available to natives of the country of birth of Hyang Dong Joo under

			 section 202(e) of that Act.</text>
