		<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id1E0E54F241DD4D44A9D184AC889C03DC" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Temporary conveyance of water

			 rights to Dry Prairie Rural Water Association, Inc</header>

			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID266a097e11844593b22d3890d1d0d3c1"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In

			 General</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Assiniboine and

			 Sioux Tribes of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, Montana (referred to in this

			 section as the <quote>Tribes</quote>) may, with the approval of the Secretary,

			 enter into a lease or other temporary conveyance of water rights recognized

			 under the Fort Peck-Montana Compact (Montana Code Annotated 85–20–201) with the

			 Dry Prairie Rural Water Association, Incorporated (or any successor non-Federal

			 entity) for the purpose of meeting the water needs of that association, in

			 accordance with section 5 of the Fort Peck Reservation Rural Water System Act

			 of 2000 (Public Law 106–382; 114 Stat. 1454).</text>

			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID91f17557f19240d19a16ca22e728eba8"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conditions of

			 lease</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">With respect to a lease

			 or other temporary conveyance described in subsection (a)—</text>

				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID0d52ba783773458a90aee1b0fa1f9459"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the term of the lease or conveyance shall

			 not exceed 100 years; and</text>

				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID068d1a1c4dbd48ae85b98e58e4217567"><enum>(2)</enum><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="idB2AAD345B4EC497AA9551CB5A6B448C7"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the lease or conveyance may be approved by

			 the Secretary without monetary compensation to the Tribes; and</text>

					</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID76be42d85cef4dbfa9a9a8735d8ca2b5" indent="up1"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the Secretary shall not be subject to

			 liability for any claim relating to any compensation or consideration received

			 by the Tribes under the lease or conveyance.</text>

					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID801bc64f10994bc1a6c4b177f29b89b8"><enum>(c)</enum><header>No permanent

			 alienation of water</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Nothing

			 in this section authorizes a permanent alienation of any water by the

			 Tribes.</text>
