<official-title display="yes">Requesting the President and directing the Secretary of Defense to transmit to the House of Representatives all information in the possession of the President or the Secretary of Defense relating to the collection of intelligence information pertaining to persons inside the United States without obtaining court-ordered warrants authorizing the collection of such information and relating to the policy of the United States with respect to the gathering of counterterrorism intelligence within the United States.</official-title>

<section display-inline="yes-display-inline" section-type="undesignated-section" id="HC326D75C5E884F9790F59EC16B3B15B8"><text>That—</text>
<paragraph id="H66CA856A49394506ADCA29E52E6DE1AA"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the President is requested to transmit to the House of Representatives, not later than 14 days after the date of the adoption of this resolution, all documents, including telephone and electronic mail records, logs, calendars, minutes, and memos, in the possession of the President relating to—</text>
<subparagraph id="HA8B22737100A476DB662B9603424E08B"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the scope of the activities undertaken by the Department of Defense, the Counterintelligence Field Activity, or any related agency with regard to Threat and Local Observation Notice reports (TALONs); and</text></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="H5595D496FA824F578900E23C832EEBE9"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the legal authority upon which surveillance by the National Security Agency or the Department of Defense of persons inside the United States and the gathering of counterterrorism intelligence within the United States without obtaining court-ordered warrants is based; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H3E1A7627690148E0ABAE5D7250EF961E"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the Secretary of Defense is directed to transmit to the House of Representatives, not later than 14 days after the date of the adoption of this resolution, all documents, including telephone and electronic mail records, logs, calendars, minutes, memos, and records of internal discussions, in the possession of the Secretary relating to— </text>
<subparagraph id="H87BF30D61FD34C0C86292228FD95CECF"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the scope of the activities undertaken by the Department of Defense, the Counterintelligence Field Activity, or any related agency with regard to Threat and Local Observation Notice reports; and</text></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="HB5F73D23AE0C455BBEBF483708C3A635"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the legal authority upon which surveillance by the National Security Agency or the Department of Defense of persons inside the United States and the gathering of counterterrorism intelligence within the United States without obtaining court-ordered warrants is based.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></section>
