<section section-type="section-one" id="H0FD7C315DB4E4CA284F313413C5567B7" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Including podiatrists as physicians under the Medicaid Program</header> 
<subsection id="HE9EEE44B7ED1426B81827E128F035972"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Section 1905(a)(5)(A) of the <act-name parsable-cite="SSA">Social Security Act</act-name> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1396d">42 U.S.C. 1396d(a)(5)(A)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>section 1861(r)(1)</quote> and inserting <quote>paragraphs (1) and (3) of section 1861(r)</quote>.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H797A183DC8D6462FB09FF85649AF691F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply to services furnished on or after January 1, 2006.</text></subsection></section>
