<section id="HC528B539486A44E8BBF1898C608F69F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Feasibility study on military identification numbers required</header> 
<subsection id="H520ADC9F035449ACB5BCFAB74DE13BC7"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Study required</header><text>The Secretary of Defense shall conduct a study to determine the feasibility of using a distinct military identification number to identify each member of the Armed Forces instead of using the member’s social security number.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HBA2FB7412BEA4408AD2E73A3CDA67980"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to Congress a report containing the findings of the study conducted under subsection (a).</text> </subsection></section>
