<section id="H3997AAD2A49543EAA7900771D0ADC7F8" section-type="section-one" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Clarification of statutory copyright license for satellite carriers</header> 
<subsection id="HF18DEDE806E949E5A48876E988A7DDF"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/17/1">Chapter 1</external-xref> of title 17, United States Code, is amended by inserting after <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/17/119">section 119</external-xref> the following:</text>

<section id="H2350774E7FCF4E33A52553B4D5E94FD4"><enum>119A.</enum><header>Clarification of exclusive rights: secondary transmissions of distant network signals for private home viewing by certain satellite carriers</header> 
<subsection id="H822712CE19CD41538D3F5873A47F3DE4"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Statutory license granted</header><text>Notwithstanding any injunction issued under section 119(a)(7)(B), a satellite carrier found to have engaged in a pattern or practice of violations under section 119(a)(7)(B) is granted a statutory license to provide a secondary transmission of a performance or display of a work embodied in a primary transmission made by a network station in accordance with the provisions of this section.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HCDC247D423D94459A223C8B5FA374035"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Significantly viewed signals</header><text>Under the statutory license granted by subsection (a), a satellite carrier may provide a secondary transmission of a primary transmission made by a network station as provided under section 119(a)(2)(C)(i).</text></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> 
<subsection id="HEDF1F891256149A3990770256F3FB61F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Technical and conforming amendment</header><text>The table of sections for <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/17/1">chapter 1</external-xref> of title 17, United States Code, is amended by inserting after the item relating to <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/17/119">section 119</external-xref> the following:</text>
