		<official-title>To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to conduct
		  feasibility studies to identify opportunities to increase the surface flows of
		  the Rio Grande, Canadian, and Pecos Rivers in the State of New Mexico, and for

		<section id="H5DFFEB656EB143A384B41B81DBB2738F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>New Mexico Rivers Feasibility Studies
			 Act of 2006</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H6E6339DE0B984063831EDCA14365DDA2"><enum>2.</enum><header>Rio Grande,
			 Canadian, and Pecos Rivers feasibility study</header>
			<subsection id="HD8EE2CC015EA49C18B00F3B57F73E531"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>The Secretary of the Interior, acting through the
			 Commissioner of Reclamation (referred to in this Act as the
			 <quote>Secretary</quote>), in coordination with the State of New Mexico, shall,
			 in accordance with this Act and any other applicable law, conduct feasibility
			 studies to identify opportunities to increase the surface flows of the Rio
			 Grande, Canadian, and Pecos Rivers in the State of New Mexico.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HA0BA8294623141EE97B498AD1D662CCC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not
			 later than 2 years after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall
			 submit to the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate and the
			 Committee on Resources of the House of Representatives a report that describes
			 the results of the feasibility studies conducted under subsection (a).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H3C9BEAE4CF0349429DCECCC21640C3C8"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Authorization of
			 Appropriations</header><text>There is authorized to be appropriated to the
			 Secretary to carry out this Act $3,000,000.</text>
