		<official-title>To amend the Hobby Protection Act to require that
		  imitation Civil War items be clearly marked as copies.</official-title>

		<section id="H44F03B07F7CD4B1D81336DB973004173" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Marking requirements for
			 imitation Civil War items</header>
			<subsection id="H4A3325E978A84166B3573C4972E1002D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Marking
			 requirements</header><text>Section 2 of the Hobby Protection Act (15 U.S.C.
			 2101) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H5AFC77D8B2074859A89271F3B8396DB5"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by redesignating
			 subsections (c) and (d) as subsections (d) and (e), respectively, and by
			 inserting after subsection (b) the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HBFC39A5394964FF4A05EEBBD25B13547" style="traditional">
						<subsection id="HCA2BCDBC3B6C46F89E4716212FAA0094"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Imitation Civil
				War items</header><text>The manufacture in the United States, or the
				importation into the United States, for introduction into or distribution in
				commerce of any imitation Civil War item which is not plainly and permanently
				marked <quote>copy</quote> or <quote>facsimile</quote> is unlawful and is an
				unfair and deceptive act or practice in commerce under the Federal Trade
				Commission Act (15 U.S.C. 41 et
				seq.).</text>
						</subsection><after-quoted-block>;</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H64C074E31BBA45F48541DFE5E6F260A4"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subsection (d)
			 (as so redesignated), by striking <quote>subsection (a) or (b)</quote> and
			 inserting <quote>subsection (a), (b) and(c)</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H9D14AE1587B8483B89BFF4C5A686B77D"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in subsection (e)
			 (as so redesignated)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H565C065A527E4C8CB800748713FB00E8"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>(a) and (b), and regulations under subsection (c)</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>(a), (b) and (c), and regulations under subsection (d)</quote>;
			 and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H84D391189B414EA5006CEF7031FE0485"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>or imitation numismatic item</quote> and inserting <quote>, imitation
			 numismatic item, or imitation Civil War item</quote>.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H7C427F5A63D743468EE5DE05575DB3A2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Imitation Civil
			 War item defined</header><text>Section 7 of the Hobby Protection Act (15 U.S.C.
			 2106) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H6AA630BF524E400798D0F31DCE1BF1B9" style="traditional">
					<paragraph id="HD21E6F62C3E145AE9D8DCF6CE60040F2"><enum>(8)</enum><text>The term
				<quote>imitation Civil War item</quote> means an item which purports to be, but
				in fact is not, an original Civil War item, or which is a reproduction, copy,
				facsimile, or counterfeit of an original Civil War item.</text>
					</paragraph><paragraph id="HA5077DE1E0C74E4199DFE8E200415652"><enum>(9)</enum><text>The term
				<quote>original Civil War item</quote> means any firearm, knife, sword, or
				other weapon, or any uniform or portion thereof, or any accoutrement used
				during the period of the American Civil War, or any such item in existence
				during and related to the American Civil
				War.</text>
					</paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="HE265ECE0F46A479DA1B9331815938D30"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Conforming
			 amendments</header><text>The Hobby Protection Act is further amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="HFED82EFC7760442DA1E5D75F5687D1F9"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in section 3 (15
			 U.S.C. 2102), by striking <quote>section 2(a) or (b) or a rule under section
			 2(c)</quote> and inserting <quote>subsections (a), (b) or (c) of section 2 or a
			 rule under section 2(d)</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H953E0163BBAE4010B0F84165FEFEE5CA"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in section 5 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/2104">15 U.S.C. 2104</external-xref>), by striking
			 <quote>section 2(a) or (b) or a rule under section 2(c)</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>subsections (a), (b) or (c) of section 2 or a rule under section
			 2(d)</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section><section id="H679F33BA1B41416EAE35D6BC19688A4"><enum>2.</enum><header>Rules prescribed
			 by the Federal Trade Commission</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In prescribing rules required under section
			 2(d) of the Hobby Protection Act (as redesignated by section 1(a) of this Act)
			 relating to the amendments made by this Act, the Federal Trade Commission shall
			 prescribe rules relating to imitation Civil War items (as defined in the
			 amendment made by section 1(b)) that are substantially similar to the rules
			 prescribed by the Commission relating to imitation numismatic items.</text>
