		<section id="H646396BFEF394329BD1C7B6DD628E9CA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the—</text>
			<paragraph id="H7FF5DDC8CB754D4CBD007EC42BA2CC13"><enum>(1)</enum><text><quote>H1B
			 Strengthening Anti-Fraud Effectiveness Act</quote>; or</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HA3AC3529FC06421887FC04CC6C6D8C5E"><enum>(2)</enum><text><quote>H1B SAFE
			 Act</quote>.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="H0E3F82FEE08049E1B70012B1A3B914E"><enum>2.</enum><header>Increased
			 departmental information exchange with respect to H–1B nonimmigrant
			 program</header>
			<subsection id="H0C763A31899B4675919BEB00A64CFCEA"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Use of
			 information submitted to Secretary of Homeland Security to initiate compliance
			 investigation</header><text>Section 212(n)(2)(G) of the Immigration and
			 Nationality Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/8/1182">8 U.S.C. 1182(n)(2)(G)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H197B22E75D794F9A9F00B829E9B8CB4"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by
			 striking clause (v); and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HE4899257C6C54DD2A33DA402D0EE8E7E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by redesignating
			 clauses (vi), (vii), and (viii) as clauses (v), (vi), and (vii),
			 respectively.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H6AFCEECF245546BFA15C01660035B8A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Authorizing
			 Secretary of Homeland Security to report credible information about
			 noncompliance</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section
			 212(n)(2)(G)(iii) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C.
			 1182(n)(2)(G)(iii)) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H430C64B2314A4826AD8B1E2DC67BF77B" style="traditional">
					<quoted-block-continuation-text quoted-block-continuation-text-level="section">In any case
				in which Secretary of Homeland Security has specific credible information
				satisfying the requirements of the first sentence of clause (i), or
				subparagraph (A), the Secretary of Homeland Security may provide such
				information to the Secretary of Labor. Such information may be used, in whole
				or in part, as the basis for the commencement of an investigation under clause
				(i) or subparagraph
				(A).</quoted-block-continuation-text><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H4BE957A11F444EB7B36BC65DA46EB8D"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Inclusion of
			 Department of Labor application number on petition of importing
			 employer</header><text>Section 214(c)(12) of the Immigration and Nationality
			 Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/8/1184">8 U.S.C. 1184(c)(12)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the
			 following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H1DA29E4B31A14F32A909847EFD027C64" style="traditional">
					<subparagraph id="HC08F9C3C0463400FA16C399C357F61F4" indent="up2"><enum>(F)</enum><text>For the purpose of preventing and
				detecting fraud, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall require an employer
				who has filed with the Secretary of Labor an application under section
				212(n)(1), as a prerequisite to filing a petition under paragraph (1), to
				include the application number received from the Secretary of Labor on such
				petition.</text>
