		<official-title>To direct the Secretary of the Interior to study the
		  suitability and feasibility of designating the Ka’u Coast on the island of
		  Hawaii as a unit of the National Park System.</official-title>

		<section id="H8C104A7C55D14815AFA45EFEDE810044" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Ka’u Coast study;
			 report</header>
			<subsection id="H0901B5C8B0AC41678200AFE5CB98E623"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Short
			 title</header><text>This section may be cited as the <quote>Ka’u Coast
			 Preservation Act</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HD784CCBB703947D3B1D16560B2223F41"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Study</header>
				<paragraph id="HF9172BBFD7084F89A800BBA3BD50DF16"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of the
			 Interior shall complete a study to determine the suitability and feasibility of
			 designating the Ka’u Coast on the island of Hawaii, as a unit of the National
			 Park System.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HE19C56E49E624CD5871D7BA098371160"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Study
			 area</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The study area shall
			 extend generally from Kapaoo Point to Kahuku Point, Hawaii.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H5972307BDC0A4DF98751FB2668A0FB8C"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Applicability of
			 other law</header><text>Paragraphs (2) and (3) of section 8(c) of Public Law
			 91–383 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/1a">16 U.S.C. 1a–5(c)(2)</external-xref> and (3); commonly known as the National Park
			 System General Authorities Act) shall apply to the study.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H293F0FEDC2D64DC398966C8500619541"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Upon
			 completion of the study required by subsection (b), the Secretary of the
			 Interior shall transmit to the Committee on Resources of the House of
			 Representatives and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate
			 a report containing the conclusions of the study.</text>
