Increase in minimum FMAP for States to 53 percent

(a)

In general

Clause (1) of section 1905(b) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1396d(b)) is amended by inserting (or, only for purposes of this title in the case of any of the 50 States, 53 percent) after 50 per centum. (b)

Effective date

The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply to calendar quarters beginning on or after October 1, 2007.
