		<official-title>To adjust the boundary of the Minidoka Internment
		  National Monument to include the Nidoto Nai Yoni Memorial in Bainbridge Island,
		  Washington, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H6FB0C2C3F27744CAA670EFB267FB0091" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Bainbridge Island Japanese American
			 Monument Act of 2006</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H6FD2D8F72A7A4B09BBDF20B82F9500A0"><enum>2.</enum><header>Boundary
			 adjustment</header>
			<subsection id="H26D2515DF14B4C79BB3879A3C54C13BB"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>The boundary of the Minidoka Internment National
			 Monument, located in the State of Idaho and established by Presidential
			 Proclamation 7395 of January 17, 2001, is adjusted to include the Nidoto Nai
			 Yoni (<quote>Let it not happen again</quote>) memorial. That memorial—</text>
				<paragraph id="H976A112CA12B4A7DBCD7C000F7878FD1"><enum>(1)</enum><text>commemorates the
			 Japanese Americans of Bainbridge Island, Washington, who were the first to be
			 forcibly removed from their homes and relocated to internment camps during
			 World War II under Executive Order 9066: and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H7A59341DE5644C0CAFBF081E30072A0"><enum>(2)</enum><text>consists of
			 approximately 8 acres of land in the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, as
			 depected on the map titled _______, numbered ________, and dated
			 ________.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H811097E84F9542A1AF40B892C3AA0000"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Map</header><text>The
			 map referred to in subsection (a) shall be kept on file and made available for
			 public inspection in the appropriate offices of the National Parks
			 Service.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="H44755927DFD04C15AEC98FD9F7CFCAE1"><enum>3.</enum><header>Administration of
			 Monument</header>
			<subsection id="H6C0A0A6BC4D44761002DBD2B8C45FC96"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Administration</header><text>The
			 Secretary of the Interior (hereinafter in this section referred to as the
			 <quote>Secretary</quote>) shall administer the Nidoto Nai Yoni Memorial as part
			 of Minidoka Internment National Monument in accordance with—</text>
				<paragraph id="HAAB61302F369429CAE457E13CF7844D5"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Presidential
			 Proclamation 7395 of January 17, 2001;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HA2720CD50E934F738C0730C115AFD25F"><enum>(2)</enum><text>laws and
			 regulations generally applicable to units of the National Park System,
			 including the Act of August 25, 1916 (commonly referred to as the
			 <quote>National Parks Service Organic Act,</quote> 16 USC 1 et seq); and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H3B72BBFB1D1C446A8100122CA0D6E75F"><enum>(3)</enum><text>any agreements
			 entered into pursuant to subsection (b).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H12088DE3B8FB4C169E00B6211800C163"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Agreements</header><text>For
			 the purposes of developing, interpreting, operating , and maintaining the
			 Nidoto Nai Yoni Memorial in partnership with other public and private entities,
			 the Secretary is authorized to enter into agreements with—</text>
				<paragraph id="H3556CA911A364F4EA15DF3CCDEB5A3F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the City of
			 Bainbridge Island;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HD2C39201BF79445A9E8E114D7F7EF8AF"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the Bainbridge
			 Island Metropolitan Park Camp Recreational District;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H6F0D4C8C90FC42CDB6A971AF71D14728"><enum>(3)</enum><text>The Bainbridge
			 Island Japanese American Community Memorial Committee;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HC6EFCE0C687E4BAABE301EC54B166EC7"><enum>(4)</enum><text>the Bainbridge
			 Island Historical Society;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H48859F9C05CC440AB9D3797802503CA"><enum>(5)</enum><text>successor entities
			 to the entities named in paragraphs (1) through (4); and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HB76EA3308E1E4F8493D900ED7993535F"><enum>(6)</enum><text>other appropriate
			 individuals or entities, at the discretion of the Secretary.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H4830897E48E540D9A4466425D6748BAB"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Coordination of
			 interpretive and educational materials and programs</header><text>The Secretary
			 shall coordinate the development of interpretive and educational materials and
			 programs for the Nidoto Nai Yoni Memorial and the Minidoka Internment National
			 Monument with the Manzanar National Historic Site in the State of
			 California.</text>
