			 the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within

		<official-title>To amend the Comprehensive Environmental Response,
		  Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980 to authorize funding for brownfields
		  revitalization activities and State response programs, and for other
		  purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H7D31C5E5A9F0486E85AE24957B5569" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Brownfields revitalization
			 funding</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 104(k) of the
			 Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of 1980
			 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/9604">42 U.S.C. 9604(k)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H8BDC1A4C5F9D41B1ADF48534C7710087"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph
			 (7)(D) by inserting <quote>and every 4 years thereafter,</quote> after
			 <quote>subsection,</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HFBA3D8FA5F4746598B118ED52BAD7821"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 paragraph (12) and inserting the following:</text>

					<paragraph id="H5F823E0165D942A9A0E76F427D832CBC"><enum>(12)</enum><header>Authorization
				of appropriations</header><text>There is authorized to be appropriated to carry
				out this subsection $200,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2002 through
				2012.</text>

			</paragraph></section><section id="H3D127D59FD9849BDA96C38F400E59844"><enum>2.</enum><header>State response
			 programs</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 128(a)(3) of
			 the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of
			 1980 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/9628">42 U.S.C. 9628(a)(3)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>2006</quote> and
			 inserting <quote>2012</quote>.</text>
