		<official-title>To amend the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act
		  of 1990 to require child care providers to provide to parents information
		  regarding whether such providers carry current liability
		  insurance.</official-title>

		<section id="HAC3B98249F16489D8F807074DDF337E8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Anthony DeJuan Boatwright
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H4A0AE17566C9409192C39526E858468F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendments</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 658e(c)(2) of the Child Care and
			 Development Block Grant Act of 1990 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/9858c">42 U.S.C. 9858c(c)(2)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H4991F13C78A94F25BE054EFAC641C3E7"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (E)(i) by adding at the end the following: <quote>The State shall include as
			 part of its regulatory process for issuance and renewal of licenses to
			 providers of child care services, a recommendation to each provider that it
			 carry current liability insurance.</quote>, and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HBD666199A42C47D4A2D6062E045F73C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in
			 subparagraph (F)—</text>
				<subparagraph id="H695BD8C62201417E8DC2641839CA07EB"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in clause (ii) by
			 striking <quote>and</quote> at the end,</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5FF955B69CCC41118CB493E37FC8275"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in clause (iii) by
			 striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon,</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HEA71F08211144B86951E6C64E08FB802"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by inserting after
			 clause (iii) the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H20D2AB94D6964EBF9E361CD8237E02B0" style="traditional">
						<clause id="HFAB5A9C9EEC24B06A300B055F1AC395C"><enum>(iv)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">a requirement that each child care provider
				post publicly and conspicuously in the service area of its premises a notice
				specifying whether or not such provider carries current liability insurance
				applicable to its premises and its services; and</text>
						</clause><clause id="H9B17C8C613754DEABE1312AFFD4010EC"><enum>(v)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">requirements that each child care
				provider—</text>
							<subclause id="HE6C98790C7494D60B3FC331B4989C1E9"><enum>(I)</enum><text>provide to parents
				of children to whom it provides child care services a written notice stating
				whether or not such provider carries such insurance;</text>
							</subclause><subclause id="H0CAFF5B15BE4496997AC647F89423800"><enum>(II)</enum><text>obtain the
				signature of at least 1 parent of each such child on such written notice
				acknowledging that such parent has received such notice; and</text>
							</subclause><subclause id="H46C4A5BE741941519B8F02FE9D8E26B"><enum>(III)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">maintain such notice (or a copy of such
				notice) as signed by such parents (or a copy of the signed notice) in such
				provider’s records during the period in which the child receives such services
				and during the 1-year period beginning on the date the child ceases to receive
				such services.</text>
							</subclause></clause><after-quoted-block>,
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H7C594544E6E543999E52C1B7BE9D1000"><enum>(D)</enum><text>in the last
			 sentence by inserting <quote>clauses (i), (ii), or (iii) of</quote> after
			 <quote>Nothing in</quote>.</text>
				</subparagraph></paragraph></section><section id="HDB1AAB4301AD4BD893B76452ED938F35"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act and the
			 amendments made by this Act shall take effect on October 1 of the 1st fiscal
			 year that begins more than 1 year after the date of the enactment of this
			 Act.</text>
