		<official-title>To amend <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/18/44">chapter 44</external-xref> of title 18, United States Code, to
		  amend the requirement that interstate firearms sales by Federal firearms
		  licensees be made in accordance with the State law of the
		  purchaser.</official-title>

		<section id="H4CCC2F12A4DC4F4A963FFBE5E3E9CAA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote>Firearms
			 Transfer Improvement Act</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HA8D75E3CC3134B199641DD37E0E6048B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendment of
			 requirement that interstate firearms sales by Federal firearms licensees be
			 made in accordance with the State law of the purchaser</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/18/922">Section 922(b)(3)(A)</external-xref> of title 18, United
			 States Code, is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H7FCB7F0F61B04E3685EE0148A7001B28"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>rifle or shotgun</quote> and inserting <quote>firearm</quote>;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HFC87556DB0CD4DDBBF921000CF3344A9"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>both such States</quote> and inserting <quote>the State in which the
			 licensee’s place of business is located</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H733E4802012444CD00924ED752F90035"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>both States</quote> and
			 inserting <quote>the State in which the licensee’s place of business is
			 located</quote>.</text>
