<section id="HDF50D1C571124BF28DB5EB0647943640" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Senate confirmation for appointment to serve as Assistant Secretary for Public Health Emergency Preparedness</header>
<subsection id="H4E2BC893FF7E463684744E80CFF01C72"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2811(a)(1) of the Public Health Service Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/300hh-11">42 U.S.C. 300hh–11(a)(1)</external-xref>) is amended in the second sentence by inserting before the period the following: <quote>, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate</quote>.</text></subsection>
<subsection id="H483189563A1146568321DD19A0C5A692"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Applicability</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendment made by subsection (a) applies with respect to each individual appointed under section 2811(a)(1) of the Public Health Service Act after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text> </subsection></section>
