		<section id="HBC4A96E4BDF04545968D34B400B55B4E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the

			 <quote><short-title>Keep Lobbying Clean

			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>

		</section><section id="HE9858CF9134C42FD998F752D9D38C47E"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on

			 lobbying activities by convicted felons</header>

			<subsection id="HABC7CC914C4D4F9887CFFF61F73B16DB"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In

			 general</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/18/11">Chapter 11</external-xref> of title 18, United States Code, is amended by

			 inserting after section 219 the following:</text>

					<section id="HE62248A3015F4228AA0072F081E200F"><enum>220.</enum><header>Prohibition on

				lobbying activities by convicted felons</header>

						<subsection id="H9F46DEEE167248D3005E56EC6F9BD7A2"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Prohibition</header><text>Any

				person who has been convicted of a felony under Federal, State, or local law,

				and who engages in lobbying activities that would require registration with the

				Secretary of the Senate and the Clerk of the House of Representatives under

				section 4 of the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995 shall be punished as provided

				in section 216 of this title.</text>

						</subsection><subsection id="HE7DA7349C98A4BF786762D01798FAE14"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definition</header><text>In

				this section, the term <quote>State</quote> means each of the several States,

				the District of Columbia, and any commonwealth, territory, or possession of the

				United

				States.</text>

			</subsection><subsection id="HA129ECE3AE30496EB53F3F3478EF4601"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming

			 amendments</header>

				<paragraph id="H8452F1E0D73E49C49FFBA36600249EF3"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Penalties</header><text>Section

			 216 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>or

			 209</quote> each place it appears and inserting <quote>209, or

			 220</quote>.</text>

				</paragraph><paragraph id="H4C2EE69B2708437DB6646B26019F4818"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Table of

			 sections</header><text>The table of sections of <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/18/11">chapter 11</external-xref> of title 18, United

			 States Code, is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 119 the

			 following new item:</text>
