<official-title>To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to provide a deduction for charitable contributions of services by individuals.</official-title>

<section id="HDAF2A27D4C6646CF901629CB167D64BF" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Deduction for charitable contribution of services by individuals</header> 
<subsection id="HE8DD21CA68DE4A3F9F234D2595FABC29"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/170">Section 170</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (relating to charitable, etc., contributions and gifts) is amended by redesignating subsection (o) as subsection (p) and inserting after subsection (n) the following new subsection:</text>

<subsection id="H177FA705036444D88B866712AF2DC8D0"><enum>(o)</enum><header>Contribution of services by individuals</header><text>For purposes of this section—</text> 
<paragraph id="H6DFAD56C683846F9BE925CDC419BFB51"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Services performed by an individual at the request of an organization described in subsection (c) shall be treated as a contribution made by such individual to such organization.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H6109144E77C54D719FCEBA881CBD189E"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Valuation of service</header><text>The amount of a contribution described in paragraph (1) is deemed to be the product of—</text> 
<subparagraph id="HE14193344A02487C8B9BBE93985D90A0"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the number of hours of service performed, multiplied by</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H87D657AA7EE24F159D3087C244C83E"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">twice the dollar amount per hour specified in section 6(a)(1) of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938. </text></subparagraph></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H64B7FD528B364762B86391250021CD63"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Time of contribution</header><text>A contribution described in paragraph (1) shall be treated as made at the time that the service is performed.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> 
<subsection id="H057C7BE7ADA14888B26B008334E209DB"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply to services performed after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text> </subsection></section>
