<section id="H982C9BF2136D4F6FA1CB5E65EE9D518C" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Weatherization Assistance Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H984E34E2991E486E8F0958F62D2C497F" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Program</header> 
<subsection id="HD44171208F4544CDB866897F55005850"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Establishment</header><text>The Secretary of Energy shall establish a program to provide assistance to States for consultations with respect to weatherization and energy efficiency of residences and small businesses. Under the program, States shall provide information and recommendations for achieving greater energy efficiency, but shall not provide equipment or labor to achieve energy efficiency improvements.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H334C404F6B354CD79EED9DD8884FF83"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Eligibility</header> 
<paragraph id="H5E26DD42EEA54C4398A28BBE00379ED5"><enum>(1)</enum><header>States</header><text>A State shall be eligible for assistance under this section if it receives funding under the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Act of 1981 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/8621">42 U.S.C. 8621 et seq.</external-xref>).</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HD3B6F8E0481A40140099B09C7802B86D"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Recipients</header><text>Residential consultations shall be provided through the program established under this section only with respect to residences for which the household income does not exceed 200 percent of the State median income for households of the same size. </text> </paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HFD022C3DCC4F4487AD003671458E35D6"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definition</header><text>For purposes of this section, the term <quote>small businesses</quote> means small business concerns within the meaning of section 3 of the Small Business Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/632">15 U.S.C. 632</external-xref>). </text></subsection></section> 
<section id="HF5422A93611D458A857CF8D187689490"><enum>3.</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary of Energy for carrying out this Act $200,000,000 for each of the fiscal years 2007 through 2011.</text> </section>
