<official-title>To temporarily increase the borrowing authority of the Federal Emergency Management Agency for carrying out the national flood insurance program.</official-title>

<section id="HE8F0AAA8C8214B61B68137789782DAC1" section-type="section-one" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>National Flood Insurance Program Further Enhanced Borrowing Authority Act of 2005</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H91546C4826BB41BE9579EFE1FDF4F2EC"><enum>2.</enum><header>Increase in borrowing authority</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The first sentence of subsection (a) of section 1309 of the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/4016">42 U.S.C. 4016(a)</external-xref>), as amended by the National Flood Insurance Program Enhanced Borrowing Authority Act of 2005 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/109/65">Public Law 109–65</external-xref>; 119 Stat. 1998), is amended by striking <quote>$3,500,000,000</quote> and inserting <quote>$8,500,000,000</quote>. </text></section>
