<section id="H88505829F93040E59C3588104E173800" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Removal of discretion to order expedited removal</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 235(b)(1)(A)(iii)(I) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/8/1225">8 U.S.C. 1225(b)(1)(A)(iii)(I)</external-xref>) is amended to read as follows:</text> 
<quoted-block style="OLC" id="H4B6A644ABD584CC4B94600FDB9DFE2CD" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<subclause id="H67D1D90977F940008D4D871470828876"><enum>(I)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The Secretary of Homeland Security shall apply clauses (i) and (ii) of this subparagraph to all aliens described in subclause (II), except that if the Secretary, after consulting with appropriate Federal, State, or local law enforcement agencies, determines that the alien will be detained under the authority of such an agency, the Secretary may not remove the alien until such detention terminates.</text></subclause><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> 
<section id="H8C1F8CC2D4684A1DB412B9008DD5C91" commented="no"><enum>2.</enum><header>Residential mortgages prohibited for aliens residing in the United States unlawfully</header> 
<subsection id="HE40E441DE0E8410885988589D145A176"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Chapter 2 of the Truth in Lending Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/1631">15 U.S.C. 1631 et seq.</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following new section:</text>

<section id="H26114A56ED7B42CDAE1D8DD85C2D58D2"><enum>140.</enum><header>Residential mortgages prohibited for aliens residing in the United States unlawfully</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Notwithstanding any provision of State law, no credit may be extended by any creditor to any alien unlawfully residing in the United States in any consumer credit transaction in which a security interest, including any such interest arising by operation of law, is or will be retained or acquired in any property located within the United States which is used as a residence of such alien.</text></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </subsection> 
<subsection id="H88302BD8440D4C44AE047D4FA6DBD7A2"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text>The table of sections for chapter 2 of the Truth in Lending Act is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 139 the following new item:</text>
